A bit belatedly, I want to credit my wife Louise with the awesome illustration and logo. I thought it would be cool to share the story of it.
At one point in the novel Our Pal Levi, there is a hamburger with a foil wrapper and a logo on it. (To find out more, you'll have to read the story).
I thought it would be cool to use the logo as the cover of the book. (The text on the logo in the book is different, but the picture is the same).
I had a vision in my head, but I can't illustrate much beyond stick figures. And as it turns out, my beautiful wife knows how to do graphic design and illustration.
I made a couple of crude drawings with my ideas on them, and Louise took them and turned them into the happy robot grill cook you see in the logo.
She did an excellent job, and I got to pay for all her hard work with my husband's discount (i.e. I took her out to Piatto's, her favorite Italian restaurant in Saudi). I think I got a pretty good deal :)
